PERMANENT SECRETARY MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION-RWANDA VISITS NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE ON 24 SEPTEMBER 2026
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E. Ambassador Fidelis Mironko, visited the National Defence College (NDC), Karen, where he was hosted by the Commandant, Lieutenant General Juma Mwinyikai.
During the visit, Ambassador Mironko was briefed on the College’s mandate, programmes and courses, including its role in providing strategic-level professional military education to senior officers and other leaders.
The engagement highlighted the longstanding relationship between Kenya and Rwanda, with NDC having trained numerous senior Rwandan military officers over the years. The College has also hosted senior Rwandan officials from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies, contributing to capacity building and human capital development.
Key areas discussed included Kenya-Rwanda collaboration, capacity building, trade, defence cooperation, education and human capital development, and professional military education.
The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional linkages and explore areas of mutual interest towards enhancing the longstanding bilateral relations between Kenya and Rwanda.
Ambassador Mironko was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda.
