National Defence College Graduation Ceremony

Commandant National Defence College (NDC) Lieutenant General Adan Mulata and Deputy Commandant-Civil NDC Ambassador Robert Ngesu welcomes Cabinet Secretary Defence Ambassador Dr. Monica Juma to NDC during Course 22-2019/20 graduation ceremony held on Thursday 28 May 2020.
The Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ambassador Dr. Monica Juma on Thursday, 28 May 2020 presided over the 22nd Graduation Ceremony of Course 22-2019/20 at the National Defence College (NDC), Karen.
She extended her acknowledgements to the different countries from Africa for choosing Kenya, more so the NDC as the best institution to further their education.
She presented certificates to the 40 course participants, 10 of whom are drawn from the Ministry of Defence, 19 from other Kenyan Ministries, Departments and Agencies and 11 from allied countries.
Present during the event were the Chief of the Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi, the Vice Chief of the Defence Forces Lieutenant General Levi Mghalu, Service Commanders, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence, General Officers, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Defence Attachés, Senior Officers, Officers, Service Members and other invited guests.

The Commandant commended the graduands for their hard work, sacrifice and determination towards successful completion of the course.
General Mulata noted that NDC alumni have occupied senior positions in government security sector and the civil service of their respective countries for which the college fraternity is proud and delighted.

 In her address to the graduands, the Defence CS commended them for their sacrifice and industry which served as an incentive for their determination towards completion of the course.
The Defence CS urged the course participants to deploy the knowledge acquired in their respective countries towards the achievement of security, peace, stability, industrialization, regional integration and prosperity, noting that the institution continues to shine brightly as a beacon of innovation and excellence.
